Malta Permanent Residency Programme

from our fact sheets.

The Malta Permanent Residence Programme.

The Government of Malta introduced the Malta Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP) on the 26th of March 2021, replacing the highly successful Malta Visa and Residency Programme (MRVP) which was introduced in 2014. The new MPRP is a straightforward permanent residency programme, offering non- EU, EEA or Swiss nationals the peace of mind of residing permanently in Malta and travel visa free in all Schengen Countries.

The MPRP is regulated by a robust legal framework and it allows the main applicant the right to include in the application his spouse or partner, children, parents (including parents in law), as well as grandparents as his dependants. The MPRP is administered by a newly set up government agency called ‘Residency Malta Agency’ (the Agency) which is tasked with the administration of these regulations and the stringent four-tier due diligence process of all the applications.

Applicants cannot apply directly but must appoint a Licensed Agent. FACT Consulting Limited is a licensed agent of CMA (License: AKM-FACT) and is authorized to assist its clients with their application for Maltese residency under the MPRP regulations.
