Residence Permit.

A residence permit is required if a person’s stay in Malta exceeds 3 months. A residence permit is issued to both EEA nationals and third country nationals who have been authorized to reside in Malta due to the below specific reasons:

  • Employment / self-employment
  • Health reasons
  • Economic self-sufficiency
  • Study
  • Family reunification
  • Long-term residence
  • Partner
